Welcome, Bruins! Registration for the 2024-2025 school year will begin February 20th for current 6th grade students and March 11th for current 7th grade students. The Buchanan counselors will begin registration for current 8th graders on March 11th, as well. Please visit this page regularly as it will answer many questions you may have about the registration process. All presentations, how-to videos, elective applications, and additional information will be housed on this page. Should you have specific questions that are not answered by the information on this page, please contact one of the Alta Sierra counselors.

2. ASI staff will look at your iReady ELA scores, SBAC scores, and your grades.

Feb 20th

Counselors will present valuable information regarding the registration and course request process at each elementary site. Students will learn more about ASI and opportunities to get involved.
Parents/guardians will receive an email with important details about registration.
Elective applications are available on the ASI website.

Counselors will meet with each 6th grade class to register students via Student Connect Course Requests.

All elective applications DUE Sunday, March 10th.
Final day to enter course requests on Student Connect is Sunday, March 10th. Students who do not complete registration will be placed in an elective by their counselor.

7th Grade Presentations

Mar 11th

7th grade AB classes will view videos describing the various electives they can request to take as 8th graders, and will receive instructions from counselors for course selection on Student Connect.
Parents/guardians will receive an email with important details about registration.
Elective applications are available on ASI website.
Students may start selecting courses in Course Requests on Student Connect.

Mar 22nd

All elective applications DUE.
Final day to enter course requests on Student Connect is Friday, March 22nd. Students who do not complete registration will be placed in an elective by their counselor.
