Awards
Honor Roll
The Honor Roll recognizes students who demonstrate academic excellence and commitment to their studies. It celebrates those who consistently work hard, meet high academic standards, and serve as positive examples within the school community. Honor Roll distinctions are based on students’ Grade Point Averages (GPA) each grading period.
Honor Roll
(3.0 – 3.4 GPA)
Students earning a GPA between 3.0 and 3.4 are recognized on the Honor Roll for maintaining strong academic performance across all subjects. This distinction reflects consistent effort, responsibility, and dedication to learning.
High Honor Roll
(3.5 – 3.9 GPA)
Students achieving a GPA between 3.5 and 3.9 are placed on the High Honor Roll. These students demonstrate a high level of academic achievement and a commitment to excellence in their coursework.
Principal’s Honor Roll
(4.0 GPA)
Students earning a 4.0 GPA are recognized on the Principal’s Honor Roll. This is the highest academic distinction, honoring students who have achieved perfect grades through exceptional effort, mastery of content, and dedication to their education.
Principal's Medallion
The Principal’s Medallion Award is one of the highest academic honors at Alta Sierra. It recognizes 8th-grade students who have demonstrated exceptional academic excellence by earning a 4.0 GPA in all four semesters of middle school.
This award honors students who have maintained a perfect record of achievement, commitment, and perseverance throughout their time at Alta Sierra. Recipients of the Principal’s Medallion exemplify the school’s highest standards of scholarship, responsibility, and dedication to learning.
Block ASI
Block ASI is the most presitigious award a student can earn at Alta Sierra Intermediate. This award gives special recognition to students excelling in the domains of Mind, Body, and Spirit. This honor is available to ALL students in 7th and 8th grade and is awarded at the end of the school year. The purpose of this award is to recognize those well-rounded individuals who exemplify the qualities that Alta Sierra Intermediate School hopes to foster in all its students: (1) the desire for self-improvement, (2) a dedication and commitment in reaching goals, (3) concern for and service to others, and (4) the willingness to be positive role model to others. We encourage parents to work closely with their students, throughout the school year, making it a part of their planning for the total school experience. Whether or not the student receives the award, striving for it will enrich and enhance his/her educational foundation
